A local Girl Scouts Troop shows appreciation to the Laredo Sector Border Patrol in keeping the nation safe in Laredo, Texas.
During the 35-day furlough earlier this year, Border Patrol agents reported for work and were committed to doing their job of protecting the border. Girl Scout Troop 9179 wanted to show their appreciation for the job that agents did during that time. The troop started a donation drive and presented 300 bags with treats to the Laredo North Station agents on March 14.
The bags included a bag of popcorn, 100 Grand candy bar, Lifesavers, gum and Hershey’s Kisses and a note saying,” Thank you for all that you do. We appreciate your dedication and willingness to continue to serve your country. Here is a small token of our appreciation.”
The Border Patrol thanks these young ladies in showing their support for the agents that make up the Laredo Sector Border Patrol, especially during the furlough. We will continue to guard the nation’s borders and keep our community safe.
