PONY World Series Returns to #Laredo

Laredo PONY will host two World Series Events featuring teams from around the world.
Laredo PONY and PONY National will once again play host to the PONY 2019 Palomino World Series. Teams and coaches from The Pacific Rim, The Caribbean, Mexico, and the four zones of the US will be returning to Laredo, Texas this August. In addition, PONY Bronco teams from around the globe and the US will make their Laredo debut this summer at their World Series event to be held here in the Gateway City. The press conference will start promptly Wednesday March 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Club level of Uni-Trade Stadium.
Laredo is hosting this year’s PONY Palomino World Series for 18 and under at Uni-Trade, home of the Dos Laredos Tecolotes of the Mexican Baseball League. 2019 is the second year the PONY Palomino League Baseball World Series comes to Texas. Laredo is the first city in Texas to host the 18-year-old and under baseball classic after a very long run in Santa Clara, California. In addition to last year’s teams, a team from the European PONY League will make their way to Laredo to compete for the World Title.
For the first time, the PONY Bronco World Series, featuring players 12 and under, will also be held in Laredo, Texas. Teams from the Pacific Rim, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the four corners of the US will be joining our own Laredo team in the tournament. “We are excited about bringing another baseball World Series to Laredo, joining the Palomino 18 and under that was here last year. These two events will go a long way in showcasing our local talent and our great community.” said Richard Rosas President of PONY Laredo.
