The Laredo North Border Patrol Station Border Community Liaison (BCL) Program presented at Barbara Fasken Elementary School’s Annual Career day on January 30.
Border Patrol agents educated third and fifth grade students about the various positions available if you decide on a career with the United States Border Patrol. The presentation covered the requirements to become a Border Patrol agent along with what an agent goes through at the Border Patrol Academy. They were also informed about what an agent faces and the efforts involved in securing our Nation’s borders and keeping our communities safe on a daily basis.
Students were interested in all aspects from level of education requirements, to what rewarding aspects working for the agency were. All students participating in the program were highly encouraged to complete their education and be law-abiding citizens of their community.
