Border Patrol agents assigned to the Hebbronville Station arrested nine illegal aliens during a human smuggling attempt.
The incident occurred on October 3, shortly after
Agents observed the driver and multiple subjects abscond from the vehicle and fled into the brush. Air support arrived to the area and assisted the agents in apprehending 11 subjects in total. During the investigation, the agents determined that two of the subjects, both United States Citizens, were acting as scouts for the alien smuggling attempt while the other nine subjects were illegal aliens from the countries of Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. All subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the station for processing. The vehicle was seized by the United States Border Patrol.
