Border Patrol agents from the Hebbronville Station hosted the third annual Vaquero Bike Tour near Hebbronville, Texas.
The event took place on September 30, at the intersection of FM649 and FM3073 near Hebbronville, Texas. Over 130 cyclists participated in the non-USA cycling sanction race, which followed their racing rules. The Vaquero Bike Tour attracts racers from all over Texas and Northern Mexico including state champions and Olympic racers.

Proceeds from the event benefits Explorer Post 359 which consists of high school students interested in pursuing a law enforcement career. Explorer Post 359 was introduced in Hebbronville in 2010 and currently have six explorers and five advisors. The explorers are trained by Border Patrol agents and participate in competitions and volunteer in community events. The Explorer Program relies on partners and fundraisers to cover expenses for competitions, uniforms, room and board during the year.
