Border Patrol agents from the Laredo South and Laredo North Station Border Community Liaison Programs participated in the “Youth Career Exploration Event” at the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas.
At the event on September 12, agents visited with middle school and high school students from both the United Independent School District and the Laredo Independent School District. The students were given brief presentations throughout the event about the Border Patrol and asked various questions about the different careers and types of assignments within the Border Patrol.
The “Youth Career Exploration Event” organized by the Work Force Solutions for South Texas is designed to inform students about career opportunities, higher education training and local service opportunities in industries that are growing in Texas. Presentations included information about careers in law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Border Patrol.
